Anthropology Student Association
(for undergraduate and graduate students)
The ASA was formed to promote the discipline of anthropology and
the appreciation of the diversity at the University of Maryland
- College Park (UMCP). Our goals over the years have grown to
include a mission to provide information to the students for careers
in anthropology (archaeology, physical / biological, linguistic,
and socio-cultural) as well as fields related to anthropology.
The ASA also promotes the ethics and standards within the fields
of anthropology as stated by the American Anthropological Association.
Additionally, we support interactivity between students and faculty
of anthropology and its related fields. The ASA understands and
is committed to fulfilling its responsibilities of abiding by
the policies of UMCP.
