Fatimah L. C. Jackson - Faculty Advisor
Dr. Fatimah Jackson is a professor of anthropology at the University of Maryland and also holds adjunct positions in the department of nutrition and the department of biology. Her research emphasizes the biological effects of of specific human cultural behaviors, particularly dietary practices, in influencing the pattern of human biological diversity and the cadence and direction of human microevolution. In the spring of 2002, she concieved the idea of a journal devoted to discourse in human biology, and the first issue of Maryland Essays in Human Biodiversity was designed over the summer.
   
Bradley N. Buran - Editor in Chief
Bradley Buran recieved a B.A. in Biological Anthropology and a B.S. in Physiology and Neurobiology from the University of Maryland at College Park. He is currently pursuing a PhD in the Harvard - MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology.
   
Soroush Rais-Bahrami - Editor in Chief
Soroush Rais-Bahrami recieved a B.A. in Biological Anthropology and a B.S. in Cell Biology and Molecular Genetics from the University of Maryland at College Park. He is currently pursuing a M.D. at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.
   
Farida Bhuiya - Managing Editor
Farida Bhuiya is a senior at the University of Maryland at College Park and is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in anthropology.
   
Luis Castro - Editorial Board
Luis Fernando Aparicio is a senior at the University of Maryland. In December he will receive a B.A. in Biological Anthropology. He is currently (summer 2003) an intern at the Smithsonian National Zoological Park working in the Golden Lion Tamarin Conservation Program.
