Jennifer Dumas, Assistant Dean,
Development and Alumni Relations

Jennifer Dumas has joined the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences as Assistant Dean for Development and Alumni Affairs. Ms. Dumas previously was Director of Development at the University of St Andrews in St Andrews, Scotland. There, with a staff of twelve, she was responsible for all alumni relations and fundraising activities and led the school through annual fundraising increases and a significant expansion of alumni activities.

Prior to that Ms. Dumas established the development office at New Hall, one of three women’s colleges at the University of Cambridge, in Cambridge, UK. As Director of Development, she was responsible for alumni relations and fundraising, including conception and implementation of a six-year campaign strategy for the college’s 50th anniversary.

Ms. Dumas received an A.B. in History of Art from Cornell University, where she also worked in alumni and development positions after graduation. She makes active use of her degree while pursuing her passion for travel, and has recently expanded her list of must-see destinations by earning a certification in scuba diving. She lives with her husband Jamey and two Scottish cats in Washington, D.C.
