Dear Prospective SRI Applicant,
 
Thank you for your interest in the University of Maryland’s 2013 Summer Research Initiative (SRI).  This summer program is supported by the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences and the University of Maryland, College Park.  Our application cycle ran from December 1, 2012 - February 15, 2013 and is now closed.  Applications will be reviewed through March 2013 and selection announcements will be made in April 2013.  The actual program runs 8 weeks, from June 3, 2012 – July 26, 2013.  Those selected will be expected to arrive to campus for the weekend program orientation on Saturday, June 1, 2013.
  
For those Who Completed Applications in January and February, 2013:

On January 2, 2013, we discontinued the use of the PDF application.  Instead ALL applications prepared in January and February 2013 were submitted through SRIapp, our UMCP SRI online application system. 

There were no content or requirement differences between the online application system and the PDF document application. However, whether you submitted your application online in January/February, or by using the PDF paper application in December 2012, you must have had your original transcripts sent to us via mail (USPS, Fed Ex, UPS, etc.) and we must have received them by February 15, 2013.
