The Museo Archeologico Nationale di Napoli has virtually all of the best fresco paintings from Pompeii, such as the portrait of the young woman above. It also has many other of the most interesting objects.
By one of the quirks of history, it also happens to have some of the finest sculpture from ancient Rome, such as the bigger than life statue of Hercules from the baths of Caracalla in Rome.
