Job Placement
Maryland graduates have taken a wide variety of jobs. Many of our students have gone into academia and are now teaching at leading colleges and universities. In recent years our students took positions at the University of Chicago, Stanford University, University of Washington, William and Mary, Williams, Middlebury, Duke University, UCLA and Swarthmore. Several of our graduates each year take jobs with international organizations in Washington such as the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund. The campus's location near Washington gives our students a special advantage in access to federal agencies. Recent graduates are now working at the Congressional Budget Office, the Federal Reserve Board, the Justice Department and the Office of Tax Analysis. A number of our students are working at major research institutions including the Urban Institute and Resources for the Future.
