Attached you will find a step-by-step guide to finding an internship. You can also find a compilation of links to relevant vacancy-gathering search engines as well as to the specific career/employment/internship web pages of relevant DC-area NGOs, industry groups, governmental agencies and/or international organizations. In addition, at the ENSP Internships web page you will find a list of organizations possibly offering internships. These are only partial listings and you should by no means feel forced to pick an internship from them. These lists are starting points for you to begin your internship searches.

In addition to interning, you can also gain experience by volunteering your time for local organizations. Volunteers are always needed to perform office work or help with major projects and events an organization might have. Any volunteer experience you gain may also be added into your resume.
