“Relations” (formerly known as “Communion”) - 2002 Choreography: Nejla
Y. Yatkin Rarely do we seem
to connect with another. Indeed, we frequently appear to occupy different
times, different spaces, different worlds – this is especially
obvious as well as traumatic in the context of a relationship (where
we are supposed to be connected). Commissioned by the D.C. Commission
on the Arts and Humanities, this piece attempts to capture an interaction
where two beings navigate through space and time in order to see, hear
and be.
