Graduation
 

The Audit

In order to graduate with a GVPT degree, students need to complete an audit during their junior year. The audit helps students to identify any outstanding departmental or university requirements that have not been completed. To begin the audit process, pick up an audit packet in the Behavioral and Social Sciences Advising Office (TYD 2148) and make an appointment with an advisor the GVPT advising office to complete a departmental audit. Once the departmental audit is completed, the packet must be returned to the BSOS advising for the completion of the audit.

Graduation Registration

Students must register for graduation online. The university also maintains a graduation website with complete information about tickets, caps and gowns, parking, and other graduation matters: http://www.urhome.umd.edu/commencement/.

GVPT Honors Graduation

The GVPT Department holds its graduation ceremony on the second day of graduation (check the graduation website for the up-to-date time and location). The ceremony includes recognition of GVPT Honors students' thesis work and other accomplishments. GVPT Honors students will be asked to submit information to the GVPT Honors Assistant for inclusion in the graduation program.
