Welcome!

Welcome to the UMD Student American Politics Seminar. The Student American Politics Seminar (or SAPS) is a workshop collectively operated by graduate students in the Department of Government & Politics who study, or are interested in, questions of American Politics. We meet bi-weekly to discuss papers and research designs at all stages of development authored by graduate students. We also occasionally hold tech sessions to learn about new technology pertinent to political research. Meetings are generally informal and are held at the homes and apartments of participants, on campus, in coffee shops, and at other places conducive to discussing American Politics. If you are interested, please check the schedule to see when you can next join us. If you have a paper or research design you would like to submit, click here for information on submissions. All are welcome!!

We're SAPS on Facebook, too!

Join SAPS-mania on Facebook! We have a group on Facebook to provide all you social-media junkies with up to the moment updates on all things SAPS. Also, it helps us get an accurate read on attendence to each workshop. Click here to access and join the group.
