The University of Maryland Hearing and Speech Clinic
at College Park has provided speech, language and
hearing services throughout Maryland since 1949.
Located in Lefrak Hall, the Clinic is operated by
the Department of Hearing and Speech Sciences as
both a training and research facility of speech-language
pathology and audiology.
Services are provided by students who are working
towards their graduate degree in either speech-language
pathology or audiology. These students are closely
supervised by experienced speech-language pathologists
and audiologists, who are faculty members of the
Department of Hearing and Speech Sciences and certified
by the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association
(ASHA).
Our facilities include several modern research
laboratories, which allow us to provide the latest
and most technologically advanced services.
Become a Friend of the Clinic: The Hearing and Speech Clinic welcomes contributions to assist with our work in providing services to the community and training future clinicians and researchers in speech-language pathology and audiology.
