Complex signal processing in cochlear implants

Are-related auditory processing deficits

Auditory scene analysis

My current research focuses on interactions between aging and the processing of spectrally degraded stimuli. In particular, I am interested in the effect of age on the ability of listeners to utilize residual temporal cues to perceive simple and complex stimuli, when spectral cues are severely reduced or absent. Such research could have important implications for cochlear implantation among the geriatric population.
