Research/Clinical Activities

Most recent research has focused on structural and dynamic MRI of speech as well as tongue modeling. Current intended research projects include:

  • Levator veli palatini imaging of patients with cleft palate
  • Vibration pattern of vocal folds in spasmodic dysphonia
  • Computer modeling of human tongue
  • Muscle imaging and modeling of velopharyngeal port
