The Language Development & Perception Laboratories are located in room 0110 on the ground floor of Lefrak Hall. This building is located on the south end of the campus across from the South Campus Dining Hall.

From US 1 - going South (from the Beltway 495)
Lefrak Hall (Bldg 038)

Pass all entrances to the University of Maryland. Turn right at the light at Knox Road. Continue until the stop sign. Take a right at that stop sign. At the next stop sign, take another right. Go straight through the stop sign at the parking garage, follow the road veering left past lot “U6.” At the stop sign turn right. At the top of the hill, make a sharp right turn into “A” lot.

From US 1 - going North (from Hyattsville)

Turn left at the light at Guilford Road. Continue through two (2) stop signs, and then take a right at the third stop sign. Go straight through the stop sign at the parking garage, follow the road veering left past lot “U6.” At the stop sign turn right. At the top of the hill, make a sharp right turn into “A” lot.

From University Boulevard (Silver Spring)

Stay in the right lane, use the YIELD before you cross Adelphi Road. After crossing Adelphi Road it turns into Campus Drive. Go through the traffic circle to the stop sign, which is at the top of the hill, and turn right. Continue straight for about two blocks. You will enter “A” lot on the left.

From Bethesda, Gaithersburg, and points west

Take the beltway to New Hampshire (650) heading south. The second light will be Adelphi; take a left, and then follow the directions from Adelphi, below.

From Adelphi Road

Turn left on Campus Drive. (Campus Drive is a light, with two left-turn lanes, immediately after another stoplight at University Blvd (MD193); It is the second light with two left-turn lanes that you will come to.) Go through the traffic circle to the stop sign, which is at the top of the hill, and turn right. Continue straight for about two blocks. You will enter “A” lot on the left.


Parking in lot A

You will need to know the key pad number to open the gate. Drive straight into the parking lot; do not bear left up the hill. Please park in the designated “S&H” parking spaces, which are the last spaces on the left. Lefrak is the building to the right of your parked vehicle. DO NOT CLIMB ANY STAIRS. Walk around to the right of the building, past the black gate (it is sometimes open), and into the courtyard. The entrance into Lefrak will be on your left. When you come into the building make the first right and go through a set of double doors (usually left open). The clinic waiting room is room 0110, halfway down the hall on the left.

Alternate Parking

There are “S&H” spaces located in “U5” lot.

From “A” lot: turn left, down the hill, and right at the stop sign into parking lot “U5”. Turn right, and the “Speech & Hearing” spaces are on the right. Please park in the designated “S&H” spaces. From them, you will need to walk left up the side walk and cross the street at the bottom of a series of stairs. “A” lot is at the top of the stairs, and Lefrak Hall is the building in front of you to the right. Walk around to the right of the building, past the black gate (it is sometimes open), and into the courtyard. The entrance into Lefrak will be on your left. When you come into the building make the first right and go through a set of double doors (usually left open). The clinic waiting room is room 0110, halfway down the hall on the left.
