2001 Lifetime Achievement Award

Purpose

To recognize innovative and effective programs of superior merit that advance higher education in Maryland.
To share information about these programs so others may benefit.

Eligibility

Any MAHE member institution or group of institutions may submit a nomination.
Programs must be ongoing; the award is not intended for isolated events.
Although nominations of instructional programs (credit and non-credit) and student services programs are encouraged, any program that advances higher education in Maryland may be nominated.

Selection Criteria

Innovativeness: How innovative or original is the program?
Importance: Are the goals of the program important to advancing higher education?
Demonstrated effectiveness: What evidence exists showing that the program works?
Contribution to higher education: What impact is the program having?
Replicability: Can the program serve as a model for implementation elsewhere?

Outstanding Educators Award Program

MAHE honors educators who have provided exemplary service in post-secondary education in the State of Maryland. These educators have been selected for outstanding service by their institutional colleagues and nominated by the presidents of their institutions. During alternating years, MAHE honors an administrator, mentor and faculty for their contributions to higher education.
