LEGAL LANDMINES IN HIGHER EDUCATION

Colleges and universities operate within an environment that is legislated and regulated by state, regional and federal authorities.  The legal implications are pervasive and touch every facet of institutional operations.  While the legal realities are inescapable, they can be navigated in ways that minimize the challenges for faculty & administrators.

The conference workshops will assist you in understanding the legal and regulatory issues inherent in today’s academic environment.  Topics will address COMAR regulations, FERPA guidelines, MHEC approval processes, securing technology, and human resource practices.

Increase your working knowledge of these important issues, gain insights into how these issues apply to your institution, and meet colleagues facing the same challenges.

Distinguished Program Awards will be highlighted this year.  Meet the award winners and learn about their special programs.
