Susanne Jaeggi (Assistant Professor, Department of Psychology) and Martin Buschkuehl (Research Assistant Professor, Department of Psychology) have had their research featured in a recent New York Times Magazine article. The article 'Can You Make Yourself Smarter?' examines the ability of various types of cognitively challenging tasks, such as memory games, to improve "fluid" intelligence:
the capacity to solve novel
problems, to learn, to reason, to see connections and to get to the bottom of
things.

After an extensive review process and site visits, the Doctoral Program in Counseling Psychology's application for continued accreditation by the American Psychological Association Commission on Accreditation has been approved for the maximum length of time. The program will undergo another set of reviews and site visits in 2018.
