Get Involved: Fellows/Visiting ScholarsThe Program On Global Security and Disarmament welcomes visiting scholars pursuing research on security and disarmament issues. The location of the Program allows scholars to exploit the intellectual community of Washington, DC, as well as the academic setting of the University of Maryland. The staff at PGSD is constructing a global network on security and disarmament issues, and has extensive and broad-ranging research experience. Program staff are also developing strong partnerships with universities worldwide to create courses and programs on general disarmament. Each fellow at arrival is provided with:

We do not currently have funds to provide stipends for visiting scholars, yet under some special circumstances PGSD funds some travel expenses and in-house administrative expenses. We have served as the host institution for Fulbright fellows, and individuals funded by international universities and institutions. Visiting scholars at PGSD have come from around the world.
