Get Involved: Internships

The Program is looking for Spring 2002 interns. The candidate should have an interest in the field and a willingness to become familiar with the arms control and security community in Washington, DC, and abroad.

Your duties would include:

  • monitoring newspapers
  • collecting information from the Internet and other sources
  • performing office clerical and small administrative work
  • assisting the Program Coordinator and the Executive Director

Previous office work experience is preferred. Familiarity with WordPerfect and Netscape Navigator/Internet Explorer is recommended. PGSD is interested in supporting students' development by offering him/her the opportunity to undertake or assist with staff research projects. Therefore, strong research, analytical, writing, communication and organizational skills are necessary.

  • cover letter stating the reasons for your interest in working at PGSD
  • your resume
  • a recent writing sample of 4 pages length or longer
  • an unofficial copy of your academic transcript

Please state the date that you are available to begin your internship and a proposed schedule of hours. Review of applications for the spring semester will begin immediately.
