Current Research and Teaching Interests:
My research focuses on topics in personnel selection, managerial/leadership
performance, information processing, and research methodology. With regard to
research methodology, I am particularly interested in nonlinear modeling and
have explored the utility of catastrophe mathematical modeling and neural
network analysis for detecting nonlinear behavior in psychological phenomena.
I am also a co-principal investigator of the Global Leader and Organizational Behavior Effectiveness (GLOBE) research project. This multi-year, multi-nation project seeks to determine the relationship between leadership traits and organizational and societal culture.
Currently, I am one of the associate editors of the Quantitative Methods
section of the Leadership Quarterly and I have recently been
appointed to the editorial board of the Journal of Applied Psychology.
