All directions below take you to the main entrance of campus on Campus Drive off US Route 1. Note that on the side of Route 1 opposite the main campus entrance, Campus Drive is named Paint Branch Parkway.
From Baltimore and Points North
Take I-95 south to Exit 27. Follow signs for US Route 1. You will actually loop back around onto I-95. Stay in the right lane. Then take Exit 25 (Route 1 south). Go two miles south on US Route 1 to the University entrance, on your right. Go to Union Lane Garage, below.
From Bethesda/Rockville/Potomac and Points West
Take the Capitol Beltway (I-495) east to Exit 25 (US Route 1 south). Proceed two miles south on US Route 1 to the University entrance, on your right. Go to Union Lane Garage, below.
From Virginia and Points South
Take the Capitol Beltway (I-95|I-495). After you cross the Maryland state line, take Exit 25 (Route 1 south). Proceed two miles south on US Route 1 to the University entrance, on your right. Go to Union Lane Garage, below.
From Washington, DC
Take Rhode Island Avenue (US Route 1) north to College Park. Proceed past the south entrance to campus, turning left into the main entrance at the intersection of US Route 1 and Campus Drive. Go to Union Lane Garage, below.
OR
Take New York Avenue (US Route 50) north to the Baltimore-Washington Parkway. Take the Baltimore-Washington Parkway to the Capitol Beltway (I-95|I-495). Take the Capital Beltway to Exit 25 (US Route 1 South). Go two miles south on US Route 1 to the University entrance, on your right.
Ongoing construction near the Biology-Psychology Building throughout Fall 2007 and Spring 2008 could impact the accuracy of these directions. Please call the Clinic at (301) 405-4808 to verify these directions.
Enter campus from US Route 1 onto Campus Drive. Keep straight around the traffic circle (big M in the middle of the circle) and at the first Stop sign you will see the Biology-Psychology building on your right, directly across an open mall. At the next stop sign you will see the Stamp Student Union on your right. Turn right at the stop sign and make a quick left into the Union Lane Garage.
Exit the garage onto Union Lane, walking up the hill, keeping the Student Union building on your left. Take a left at the intersection with Campus Drive, and continue partway down the hill until you see the Biology-Psychology Building on your left, directly across an open mall.
Biology-Psychology Building
Once inside the building, go through the double wood doors on the right. Proceed down the hallway which turns left as it passes the Biology Department.
Continue to the elevators on the right-hand wall. Take the elevator to the second floor. Exit the elevator to the right, make a turn into the first hallway on your left, follow the hallway almost to the end, and the Psychology Clinic will be on your right in Room 2114.
OR
Walk past the elevators to the stairwell on your right. Walk up to the second floor. Exit the stairwell and proceed straight down the hallway directly in front of you almost to the end, and the Psychology Clinic will be on your right in Room 2114.
• DIRECTIONS TO THE UNIVERSITY VIA METRO RAIL
The College Park Metro Station is the stop just before the Greenbelt Metro Station, which is the end of the Green line.
From Washington, DC
Transfer to the Green Line can be made at L’ Enfant Plaza (from the Orange and Blue Lines) or Gallery Place (Red Line) as well as Fort Totten (Red Line). Take the Green Line train towards Greenbelt. Exit train at the College Park/University of Maryland station. Follow signs to ground transportation. Take stairs (or escalator) to ground level. Go to UM Shuttle, below.
From National Airport
Take the Yellow Line Train toward Mount Vernon/UDC. Exit the Yellow Line train at the Mount Vernon/UDC station. (This is the end of the Yellow Line.) Stay on the same platform and wait for a Green Line train, which will be headed towards Greenbelt. Board the Green Line train and exit at the College Park/University of Maryland station. Follow signs to ground transportation. Take stairs (or escalator) to ground level.
Turn left and walk along the sidewalk until you see a sign for the UM Shuttle. Shuttles to and from the main campus are free of charge; they loop between the main campus (Lot HH at the Stamp Student Union) and the metro station approximately every 10 minutes. Board any UM Shuttle headed towards the main campus (ask driver to verify). Exit at the Stamp Student Union bus stop and walk partway back down the hill to the Biology-Psychology Building, which will be on your left, directly across an open mall.
