Featured Faculty: Dr. William Hodos

William Hodos received his Ph.D. in 1960 from the University of Pennsylvania. From 1959 to 1970 he conducted research at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research, Washington, D.C. His current research interests are in the evolution of the nervous system and behavior, comparative psychology, neural basis of sensory processes, animal psychophysics, and physiological optics.

William Hodos
Psychology Professor Bill Hodos has been honored with the title Distinguished University Professor, effective July 1, 2005.  This formal title denotes an academic honor of highest distinction and is awarded to a limited number of the university’s most accomplished professors.  Recipients are established scholars, are held in the highest esteem by professional colleagues nationally and internationally, and have made contributions that have had a significant influence on their discipline.
