Featured Staff: Ms. Lisa Marr

Ms. Marr joined the Department of Psychology at the University of Maryland, College Park in October, 2000.  Previous employment included the George Washington University (20 years) and Georgetown University (1 year).  She holds a BA in Accounting and is an experienced administrator with a strong background in academics, finance, research administration and management.

Ms. Marr oversees the department’s administration and finances, which include an average of $34 million dollars in research funds.  Other responsibilities include the management of staff, construction projects, processing of all payroll documents for approximately 250 employees (faculty, researchers, staff, graduate students and hourly students), purchasing, accounts payable/receivable, financial systems and records, research proposals and post-awards, policies and procedures, audits, development of internal controls, budgets, financial systems and other related fiscal and administrative matters as required.
