Admission to the Psychology
Major for Internal and External Transfer Students
The
Psychology Undergraduate Major is a Limited Enrollment Program (LEP).
This means that students must meet additional academic requirements
beyond admission to the University in order to join and remain a
psychology major.
The
Psychology Undergraduate Program admits students who transfer to the
University of Maryland from another institution (external transfers)
and students currently enrolled at the University of Maryland who
want to change majors (internal transfers). There is no credit limit
for admission to the major. However, transfer students must
complete the Entrance Requirements for Transfer Students BEFORE
submitting an application to the major. Students are
encouraged to attend a Psychology LEP Information Session prior to
submitting an application. (Click
here for dates, times and locations of Psychology LEP Information
Sessions in PDF format).
