John Pease teaches undergraduate courses, most often Introduction to Sociology and Social Stratification & Inequality.  He is a member of the "I'd Rather Be Studying Gang" and eponym of the John Pease Scholarship.  Professor Pease has won numerous teaching awards, the most recent of which is the 2008 University of Maryland System, Board of Regents, Faculty Award for Excellence in Mentoring
