A. Objectives

PARinAC is intended to improve co-operation between UNHCR and NGOs in the delivery of programmes to refugees, in advocacy on behalf of refugees and in refugee protection. It provides a forum for dialogue between NGOs and UNHCR.

Types of actions A website with a discussion forum has been created. ICVA acts as Global Focal Point for PARinAC and co-ordinates the network. Regional UNHCR and NGO Focal Points are appointed or elected, as are National Focal Points. Regional meetings are held twice a year at which issues of interest and concern are raised. Meetings are also held in Geneva and elsewhere between NGOs and UNHCR.
